This is the only song that will be on the CD that is not a "first take" or copied from a cassette of "rehearsal recordings". Although the (upcoming) cd will contain the original recordings of the other songs, I chose not to include the original version of this song.***** |
CD: Sitting On The Moon (In the beginning...?)
Credits: Written, performed, and arranged by Robin L. Busby. |
Story Behind the Song
My first completed project. I wrote, sang, arranged, performed and/or sequenced all the music you will hear. This version was remixed to be heard on WEBN in Cincinnati, Ohio during their Pay-To-Play weekend to benifit the Autism Society.
Lyrics
I Don't Believe In Love
(Robin L. Busby)
Once I held her close
And we kissed tenderly
And we spent the night
Filled with revelry...
And I dreamed of what could be...
But then I woke to find her
Packing what she owned
She said she'd found another
And left me here alone
Yes, she left me all alone
Now is there any hope for me
Because...
Chorus:
I don't believe in love
There is nothing I'm more certain of
I don't believe in love
Anymore.
It picked me up and then it let me down
Kicked me while I was on the ground
I don't believe in love
Anymore
I sit at home at night, now
I stare at these four walls
Darkness closes round me
I hear the reaper call
I hear the reaper calling me
Now can someone help me, please?
Because...
Chorus:
I don't believe in love
There is nothing I'm more certain of
I don't believe in love
Anymore.
It picked me up and then it let me down
Kicked me while I was on the ground
I don't believe in love
Anymore
You see now...
Chorus:
I don't believe in love
There is nothing I'm more certain of
I don't believe in love
Anymore.
It picked me up and then it let me down
Kicked me while I was on the ground
I don't believe in love
Anymore
I don't believe...
I don't believe...
Anymore
