Story Behind the Song
This song stemmed from the death of both my grandfathers within a few years. Around the same time, I started to become increasingly aware of, and disturbed by, society's (and sometimes my own)treatment of the elderly.
I thought about how many things those people had taught and done for others in their lives; their acomplishments. My grandfathers taught me that you are never too old to learn, and never too young to teach.

Lyrics
GLORIFY
Embracing the reality, of all the stories that are living in their eyes
Fighting off the impending rigidity
never wanting to say a thousand good-byes
I don't want to say 1000 good-byes
The mind fails the body
while the body is failing the mind
Our unbounded contempt for our elders
is sealing for all of us a fate so unkind
Don't seal our fate, fate so unkind
No, no, no, no, no, no
GLORIFY
A lifetime full of learning
GLORIFY
Hey, one old heart so full of pride
GLORIFY
All the mentors of our childhood
GLORIFY
Well their remembrances will guide you,
Through the trials of our time.
In withering fingers
Are held the keys to life's' greatest reward
Searching all of their souls for a lifetime
Only then to lose the fire from their eyes
Don't steal the fire, fire from their eyes..
The mind fails the body
and all the while the body 's failing the mind
All our unbounded contempt for our elders is still
sealing for all of us a fate so unkind
Don't seal our fate, fate so unkind
No, no, no, no, no, no
GLORIFY
A lifetime full of learning
GLORIFY
Hey, one old heart so full of pride
GLORIFY
All the mentors of our childhood
GLORIFY
Well their remembrances will guide you,
Through the trials of our time.
