	Story Behind the Song This song was written while I was in college, at the request of a theology student who wanted an "upbeat" rendition of Phillipians 2. I wrote it the night before he needed it for his presentation. Lyrics Jesus Christ is Lord! Evry knee shall bend at his name, evry tongue shall acclaim: Jesus Christ is Lord! 1. He was divine, the Son of God, but to this he did not cling. He became like men and humbler yet; to his name all creatures sing! 2. He accepted death, death on a cross, but God has raised him high. He is risen from the dead; now he lives no more to die. 3. Thus God gave him the name above all other names. To the glory of our God shall evry tongue proclaim:
