	Story Behind the Song I wrote this song about my last girl friend. It was after bryan's sisters wedding and I was hung over and distraught. So I picked up my guitar and pen & pad and went out on the porch to write about it. What I came up with was a song that descibed exactly how I felt. Footprints in the Sand, explained the situation perfectly. I felt that I had been led on through out our whole relationship. All that talk about, "I love you like a friend" and I don't want to lose you as a friend" is usually a load of crap. Being friends after you break up is impossible without the person who got dumped, still having feelings for the other person. That's what this song is all about.
