Created entirely on the Korg Trinity, GM Soundset (see info). This is a relaxing, ambient song that will put you in a dreamy mood. It's also my third complete song with lyrics! |

Story Behind the Song
This song marks the first (and only) time I've extensively used a sequencer built into a synthesizer. I have to admit, the one on the Korg Trinity is rather nice =)
Anyways, The Dark Beyond is an idea I had of a place within your self you go to find your lowest state, a quiet state, a peaceful state. Only from there you can feel humility. Only from the quiet and the darkness can you truly see the light. And only light can fill that darkness.
Welcome to The Dark Beyond
"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." - Psalms 46:10
Lyrics
------------------LYRICS----------------
(Sung softly)
Lay your eyes on the darkest shadows
Close your eyes and pray
In a moment you will see
Your place
Set your sail to follow me
Cause we will go
But I don't know when
We'll be there
On the shore of disbelief
The Dark Beyond - in sight
You'll get to know
Yourself
The journey's end has nothing
There to show itself
And I don't know when
When we'll be there
What happens here will be your prize
And the dream, your destiny...
What happens now defines your life
And you will say, forever,
Oh. "Here I am..."
"Here I am!"
The darkened veil around your face
Reveals your mind, your grace
You'll get to know
Yourself
The Dark Beyond you cannot find
until you look
And you will know then
When you are there
If you believe then you will rise
In your dreams, Never turn around
What happens now: peace within.
And you will say, forever,
"Here I am..."
"Here I am..."
