	In April of 1889, twenty thousand people took part in the Oklahoma land run, the largest land run in history. This song is about two of those pioneers.

	Story Behind the Song I was picking with a group of my friends in 1989 when we were asked to play at the Land Run Centennial in downtown Oklahoma City. One of my friends suggested I write a land run song for the occasion, and this song is the result. Is it true? Well, spiritually yes, factually no. My folks actually showed up about ten years later, but I wasn't about to let that stand in the way of a good story line.
