A song about helping the hungry all over the world/ending aparthied for good the world over; it also explains how our technological advances are good, but we all too often put them before helping those in need. An early J.C. piece, some feel it's the strongest melody in "the Bosco collection".[Seconds has had much radio airplay]

    Story Behind the Song
"Seconds" has always been a special song to me in that when I wrote it, I was very
effected by the world hunger situation that
was brought to the attention of the t.v.
airwaves alot in the 80's and was touched
by what folks like Sally Struthers were doing to help starving people in need.
When I looked outside my apartment window
and saw that it was also a large full moon
out there in the sky, the melody just came.
I'm hoping one day that someone like Quincy
Jones can hear it and see that it could be another kind of "We are the World" for the right concert or event. It also touches upon the subject of ending world aparthied. For
me, a tear jerker-- JC //*//

    Lyrics
1st verse: Seconds tick on & what have we done to raise the world higher, just like
a big fire of love, of love.

2nd verse: Seconds march on & the people are
gone. So many can't see, so many are out to
    sea with their money.

Chorus: (And) technology's fine it's far
from a crime, I know. But people are dying
as the second hand's ryhming, oh no. How can
we let the people forget that we care? To
help & to heal is a motto I feel should be there.
