	Story Behind the Song Bandit wrote this song after a painful breakup with his girlfriend. The song describes a man who wants to provide his lady with the finer things in life, however he doesn't have enough money to supply this lifestyle. Because he is not able to supply her lavish needs, she loses respect for him and goes looking elsewhere for someone who can provide for her expensive taste. Bandit begins slangin dope and he hopes the money that he makes is his ticket to respect.
