	Story Behind the Song The title tune of the recording. It has to do with how sometimes we get unexpected gifts of all kinds. Things that come our way unrequested. Some small, like a sudden smile, and some large (the lottery maybe?). Anyway, the gift referred to in this song and that is the theme of the recording is the gift of musical inspiration. Sometimes one has to work very hard to bring anything to the surface. This time, "A Gift" just came to me. All I'm responsible for is writing it down (and of course, recording it). That's why the ethereal figure, Madonna like, graces the cover of the album behind me. Lyrics There are no lyrics to this piece. But you're welcome to make some up. I think it would be a great tune for a vocalist.
