Story Behind the Song
The postman came with a package. It was what
we'd all been waiting for ... the final copy
of joint membership at the Moose Lodge.
We danced and cheered and we all broke into
song. Someone got out the moose costume and
as the final moose hat was placed onto the
final head we all took off running into the sunset.
It was a Saturday night.
Lyrics
I've Got A Chance
I knew that she was angry
when I noticed that my baby walked by
I knew that she was mad at me
You know, she didn't even say "Hi"
She's prob'ly thinkin' "What is wrong with him?"
And I'm still sittin' here tryin to find a reason
that I stay here playing a fool's game
I've got a chance to belong
I've got a chance to belong
I've got a chance to belong
I know I'm wasting all my time
to fool around with girls like her
She'll turn around, go upside down
go backwards and she'll even flirt
I dig her body and I love her face
And she'll do anything
and everything to my thing
Even come over to my place
I've got a chance to belong
I've got a chance to belong
I've got a chance to belong
Come in, going out
She is blowing my-my mind
It's amazing to feel
Even better to find
Put in in, put it out
Girl you got what I need
Come on, baby
Come on, come on, come on, come on
Please
I've got a chance to belong
I've got a chance to belong
I've got a chance to belong
